You will administer, develop and maintain UNIX systems including those providing the company's internet presence. Your duties will include day to day administration of UNIX systems and providing internal support. You will assist the web team with development of web based services using Perl, PHP, MySQL etc. A strong knowledge of internet server applications such as Apache, Sendmail, BIND, etc and a good knowledge of internet protocols including TCP/IP is required. Building, installing and configuring applications on UNIX systems as well as development of scripts (Shell, PERL, etc). You must have excellent knowledge of UNIX / LINUX (specifically FreeBSD including installation, Kernal tuning and troubleshooting.
An experienced VB, SQL Server 2000 programmer. Ideal candidates will have experience of COM, GUI, N-tier architecture, stored procedures, performance tuning and DTS. Knowledge of VB.Net, XML, COM+ and MTS would be an added bonus to your application however if you do not currently hold these skills there will be a chance to use progress your career with these technologies
The ideal candidate for this role will need a minimum of 3years experience of high level Oracle Development.
